While I've spent plenty of time in restaurants, my work has spanned language and education, boxing, programming, and AI.

I enjoy making sense of seemingly chaotic systems and have found that understanding their structure is the fastest way to become operational. Restaurant service has a definite structure as well but little training focuses on teaching it – so new servers are left reacting instead of operating.

This project exists to make that structure visible.

I now work as a consultant helping companies design data, retrieval and graph systems for AI. I also write about various fields of study and projects here:

James helped build this from the ground up.

He brought significant restaurant experience and expertise – and more importantly, the same attitude toward serving: recognize and understand the system then find efficiencies within it.

He handled all filming and visual execution, shaped the concept and instruction, and ultimately captured the attitude and way of thinking behind the training.
