FOR SERVERS BY SERVERS2

Free, in-depth training that has helped thousands of servers learn to operate more efficiently and make better money

Better Training | Better Performance | Better Money

Most restaurants don’t provide much training.

Our attitude is this: better training leads to better performance. With better performance comes better money and a less-often considered benefit: a better time.

That’s important.

It doesn’t matter if you’re only doing this job on the weekend until you finish school. You should have a reasonably good time doing it. At the very least, not a miserable one, because this job really is miserable if you suck at it, and it can be pretty fun if you’re good at it.

This is to help you get good at your job. Not for your manager. Not for your guest.

For you — the server.

A Game of Output

Real Server Training is geared more towards servers in higher-volume, semi-casual to slightly upscale restaurants. This is the majority of restaurants and therefore applies to the majority of servers.

Much of our training is pragmatic —how to carry plates, interact with guests, etc – while some is more conceptual: how to manage your workflow and operate more efficiently.

Serving is largely a game of output – the more you can handle and execute, the more you can earn.

A better angle of approach

Neither of us claim to be the ultimate authority on serving, but we were both good at our jobs, made good money, and had a good time.

This is the general attitude that worked for us.

Let our training serve as a template and adjust as necessary to your specific restaurant, standards of service, and clientele.
